The fabulous jets spelen souljazz.. Lekker! Vet!

Beginnend als hammond/drums duo speelden freek kroon & elvis sergo bigband stukken van henry mancini, buddy rich en bekende standards van eddy harris tot grant green. Met wouter wierda aan boord werd een nieuw pad ingeslagen.

Sinds 2010 concentreert de band zich op het schrijven van eigen composities. Invloeden zijn herbie hancock, wayne shorter en nieuwere groepen als 'rudder'.

Deze mix van tenorsax, rauwe hammond, hippe drumgrooves en effecten zet je in beweging! "are u ready for lift-off?"

Starting out a hammond/drums duo, "the jets" played bigband arrangements of henry mancini, buddy rich and famous standards by eddy harris and grant green. With wouter wierda aboard a new direction was cast.

Since 2010 the band concentrates on writing their own material as well. Influences are herbie hancock, wayne shorter and newer groups like 'rudder'.

This mix of tenor saxophone, raw hammondeffects, hip drumgrooves and effects makes you wanna move! "are u ready for lift-off?"
